There is a whole different world here in our city of Salt Lake. Where the old, the white and the hicks roam freely. It is a place where you can get some of the most amazing sausage and an incredible view of the whole valley (if you go out far enough!) I am speaking of a little town called Magna. Thank you for welcoming me, and for giving me some fantastic entertainment and culture twice a week! If any of you are ever on about 8400 west and 3500 south, PLEASE feel free to stop by and give me a small reminder of normalcy! Enough said.
The Lord has promised us, “My grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them” (Ether 12:27). Let us remember that the power to change is very real, and it is a great spiritual gift from God. -James E Faust-
I am one of these weak things that The Lord is talking about here! I don't really know what sparked this, but I have been having an interesting week and a lot of negative things have happened to me. There were also a lot of really great things, which outweigh the bad by far. I won't bore you all with my trials, but I did learn a lot this week about myself, and my purpose here on earth. We all have weaknesses and if we call upon God in what may seem as our most frightful times, He will lift us and make us strong, or even carry us through until we can see the light again. And the wonderful thing is that every time we are feeling weak or helpless or we have despair in our lives, if we trust in The Lord, he will make us stronger each time.
I know this is not Sunday school, but I just felt like I had to say that! Sorry about the preaching!
We had a yard sale today. It was very interesting to see the kind of people who show up to those things! All walks of life lets just say! We did make a few dollars though. We joked about making just enough money to put gas in the car to get the unsold items to the D.I.! It was a fun day though! We met a few of our neighbors that we had never even seen, and mingled with some old friends. There were also a lot of people from Jalisco, Zacatecas, Michoacan... how did we know? It said on the back of thier minivans in old english writing, of course! They were the most profitable for us though. WOW. That is all I have to say about that!

Dude... that is sick. I'm hating Magna. For sure.
Hey Camille and Kellen!!! I found your blog on Sara's. Sounds like you are having a blast with things. I hear Magna is pretty great. If I am ever out that way. Too bad we are on opposite sides of the valley. Olivia is too cute!!! Keep in touch.
